Trying Zensical

Just after writing a post about my favourite MkDocs plugins last week, I learned that the team that built Material MkDocs have announced a new static site generator called Zensical.

I was happy to read that project's top priority is compatibility with Material for MkDocs and that Zensical can use a MkDocs project's existing mkdocs.yml file. I tried it this week with some docs I'm working on and it ran without any changes. Things that really stood out were the look and feel and new search. It looks great without any changes. And the search performs really well and is super fast. Looking forward to trying it out more in the coming months as I work on migrating projects to it.
